The Consulate of Ukraine aims to promote the interests of Ukraine and its citizens. The Consulate of Ukraine was officially inaugurated on 24 September 1997 by H.E. Anatoly K. Orel, then Ambassador for Ukraine to Malta.
The Consulate’s main mission is to protect the interests of the citizens of Ukraine whilst temporarily or permanently residing in Malta. We do our utmost to amongst others facilitate the issuing of visas and passports, helping nationals in distress, and registering births. The Consulate of Ukraine also promotes trade between Malta and Ukraine. Through state structure the Consulate assists companies and individuals who are interested in investment and trade in Ukraine.
The Consulate of Ukraine is one of 73 foreign representations in Malta and one of 185 Ukrainian diplomatic and consular representations abroad.

The Consulate observes the following national Ukraine holidays:
- January 1 and 7 (New Year and Orthodox Christmas)
- March 8 (International Women’s Day)
- Orthodox Easter (dates vary)
- May 1-2 & 9 (Labour Day, Victory Day)
- June 28 (Adoption of Constitution)
- August 24 (Independence Day)
The Consulate is open Mondays and Thursdays between 10.00hrs and 12.00hrs
